Kids Bright Eyes was started by a husband and wife team when their daughter was born with PHPV causing loss of vision in one eye. After Visiting many specialty eye centers and ophthalmology offices, they were amazed to see how many children were affected by eye disorders. After experiencing the high cost of special surgery and frequent office visits, the last thing they wanted to spend a large amount of money on was glasses. They decided to start their own business, where parents just like them could find a variety of affordable eyewear options for their infants and toddlers. They offer many fun glasses in different shapes, sizes and colors. Visit their site at www.kidsbrighteyes.com

  • A friend shared this website with me. I am so excited to find all of these resources! I have two daughters with eye issues. My oldest daughter got her first pair of glasses at 18 months and had eye surgery in 3rd grade. My youngest daughter, Madison, had to patch 6 hours a day for 3 years. I wrote a book about her experience to share with others called, I am Not a Pirate. It comes out next month! I am passionate about spreading the word about getting your children’s vision checked early to help spot amblyopia before it is too late! If you would like to order my book, visit http://www.shannonisteaching.com for a direct link to the book.
